Folkestone U11 316 for 3 of 20 overs
Elham Valley U11 231 for 7 of 20 overs
Folkestone U11 win by 85 runs

Folkestone U11 continued their impressive start to the season with victory over neighbours Elham in difficult conditions at a windy 3 Hills Sports ground on Sunday.

Having been asked to bat, the Newbolt brothers opened the batting and made steady progress, losing only 1 wicket during their 5 overs. Henry Bridges and Noah White both scored 9 not out to push the total along, despite some impressive bowling from Y Demobery who took 2-8. The last pair of Harry Stafford (24 for once out)  and Harry Joblin (11 not out) added 46 runs in their 5 overs, to post an imposing total of 316-3.

The Elham reply got off to the worst possible start, suffering a run out from the first ball of their reply. The Folkestone fielding was of a high standard, and man of the match Ollie Jones epitomized this, by scoring direct hit run outs from consecutive balls, which crowned an energetic display by the youngest member of the team. The bowling was also very tight, with the wickets being shared around, as Elham finished on 231-7, Folkestone winning by 85 runs.

Folkestone face Hythe on Friday night at 3 Hills in their next match.
