After what has seemed an even longer winter than normal, this weekend will see the first cricket of 2021 at our 3 Hills ground which is looking in fine condition. I’d almost forgotten what a joy it is to start a season in an April chill!
The 1st and 3rd XI’s host Lordswood and East Langdon respectively in pre-season friendlies and gives a chance for our new Overseas signing Jacob Miltz to enjoy the surroundings. Jacob joins us from South Africa as a Wicket/Batsman and toured the UK in 2018 when representing South Africa U19’s in their series with England. We wish him a successful season with us.
Meanwhile the 2’s travel to Canterbury for their first pre-season friendly
Then Monday evening sees our Junior Training sessions commence. We hope everyone wishing to attend has signed up via the Website/WhatsApp link, but if not there is still time to do so. Our loyal band of Coaches, along with Jacob added to the team, are looking forward to putting the youngsters through their paces with some of the new equipment we have invested.
However as you are probably aware, there are still COVID-19 restrictions in place for participants and spectators, therefore we advise everyone check these via the ‘COVID’ link on the website prior to taking part in any games or training sessions please.
