Dear Fellow Golfers & Guests,
I would like to thank everyone for their attendance on the 12th Annual FCC Golf Day, along with the many emails & texts that I have since received. Everybody has said how much they enjoyed it, even the weather co-operated! I have been out & about delivering raffle prizes this week. I am aware that there are still a few outstanding which I hope to deliver within the next week.
I would also thank you all for being so generous and I am pleased to say that I have transferred into the FCC Bank Account the amazing sum of £1,103.50 (with one outstanding payment yet to be received). This being the money raised from the event to which I am extremely grateful to you all.
There are few people that I would particularly like to thank, not least Robert & Julie Winstanley of Winstanley Windows who once again kindly sponsored all the trophies. I would also like to thank Martin Bridges of Independent Insurance Services, John & Doreen Godden and Dave Curran for their sponsorship on the day. Without their generosity, a lot less would have been raised on the day.
I would also like to thank the people that helped me on the day, along with Andy Heyes & all the Hampshire Stragglers for their continued attendance and support on the day. Andy does a great job organising his ‘Hampshire’ party and it has been a pleasure working with him over the past eight years.
The unsung helper of this event over the years & no less this year, has been my wife, Giselle. Without her help, the event wouldn’t happen.
I am pleased to confirm that I have rebooked this annual event for next year, so all please put in your diaries the date of Friday 30th September 2022. Although I have booked it, I am definitely ‘retiring’ from the event organisation and can only hope that the Cricket Club Committee can organise for a person or persons to continue this highly successful annual event. I will of course be happy to be in the background advising the new organisers, as required.
I would like to thank you all for your continued support over the past 8 years and hopefully, I look forward to joining you on the golf course at next year’s event.
