Summer Camp 2024

Dear Parent/Carer
We are looking forward to welcoming your child/children to the Folkestone Cricket Club Summer Camp in August.
Week 1 runs from 7th to 9th August and week 2 runs from 14th to 16th August. Some of you have booked the whole time and some a few days.
Below are a few details for you – please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any queries:-

  • Registration open at 9.45 am – please sign your child in at the registration desk.
  • Start time 10.00 am
  • Lunch approximately 12.30
  • Finish time 3.00pm
  • There will be a break in the morning and afternoon for a snack/drink. We will ensure the children have access to extra water throughout the day.
  • Could you please ensure they bring the following with them on the days they are with us:-
    Drinks
    Snacks
    Sun Cream
    Hat
    Change of clothes in case of inclement weather.
    Medication (if required) – please inform us of this when you register your child on their first day.

Could you also confirm to me via email, as soon as possible, the emergency contact details you would like us to use as well as any dietary requirements your child has e.g. Vegetarian/Vegan/Allergies.
We are very much looking forward to seeing your child at our Summer Camp and know they will benefit from our wonderful coaches.

Our Summer Cricket Camps are for boys & girls of all abilities & experience of cricket!

Throughout the week, technical cricket skills are taught by our engaging & enthusiastic coaches, as well as fun activities and game play.

Our summer camps are appropriate for both softball and hardball players as groups are separated accordingly.

PLEASE NOTE: If you book your place on or after 31st July, you will have to bring your own packed lunch.

Dates and times

  • Week 1: Wed 7, Thur 8 & Fri 9 August
  • Week 2: Wed 14, Thur 15 & Fri 16  August
  • All sessions run from 10:00 to 15:00

Cost

  • £31.50 per day (includes lunch) or
  • £83.00 for three days (includes lunch)
  • Please note that we will not be able to offer any refunds

Details

  • Under 9s will be softball cricket.
  • Under 11 to Under 15s will be hardball based and players are expected to bring their own hardball equipment.
  • Minimum four hours physical cricket with a lunch break/tactical learning session.
  • Coaching will cover all aspects of batting, bowling, fielding & hopefully some games too.
  • All our coaches are vetted and ECB qualified!
  • A different lunch will be provided on each day.
