FCC Junior Information

Our club offers structured cricket coaching sessions for children of all abilities from ages 6 upwards in the following groups.
Under 9s – Softball – Years 1 – 4
Under 11s – Hardball – Years 5 & 6
Under 13s – Hardball – Years 7 & 8
Under 13s – Girls only section
Under 15s – Hardball -Years 9 & 10

All our teams play competitive matches in the Saxon Shore League, Ashford & District Junior League and Canterbury Pharon Youth League throughout the summer against other local teams.

We are ECB Clubmark accreditated and all our sessions are led by qualified coaches.

Under 9s Softball Cricket

We have a thriving U9 section at the club. A lot of the group have come through our All-Stars programmes whilst others are new to the game and have simply joined to “give it a go”.
All our sessions are focused around fun whilst developing both fundamental and cricket specific skills.
We enter our U9 and U11s in the Forty Competitions run by Kent Cricket, as well as playing other local sides in festivals that are held during the summer.

“Girls Only” Cricket

We are extremely pleased with the progress of the “girls only” section at the club. We now have a group of around 20 girls that regularly attend training sessions and take part in U11 softball festivals and competitive league matches.
Such is the success, we are now looking to form an U13 girls section at the club!

Winter Indoor Training 2024

We run winter training sessions from January to March in the sportshall on Monday evenings for all junior age groups.

Please note that winter training is NOT covered by club membership fees as there is an addition cost of hiring the sportshall.

Summer Outdoor Training 2024

A membership fee is required to attend these sessions.
Our summer outdoor training usually starts just after the Easter holidays and runs through till August. These run on different days depending on your age:-

Our juniors are entered into three local leagues – please note that the match days below have set by the various leagues – they could change depending on the weather, opposition and availability of players

We have various annual membership packages to suit everyone – these are valid from APRIL throught to MARCH.
